This is Thorsen House in Berkeley, CA, an “ultimate bungalow” designed by Greene and Greene. It’s the inspiration for Turtledove Hill, where most of the action takes place in my upcoming novel, Kiss Me Hello.
Turtledove Hill has a small third story and a widow’s walk with a view of the Pacific Ocean on the northern California coast. Aside from that, Thorsen House captures the gothic feel of Turtledove Hill.
